Dayz Standalone Vs Mod
Probaby the mod but the older versions of it when the M107 was still in.Nice varity of guns, not so fiddly and no need to worry about clothing. The loot was better because it wasent all filled with shoes and books, i feel the zombies where better too.Zombies spawned crawing and crouching and they walked in doors. Better varity in vehicles. Also side chat, i miss that the most and no radio's are not the replacement for side chat no one uses them and plus you dont always have radios like you did with side chat. That said Shotguns where ♥♥♥♥ing awful, anamations felt slower, map was barren, lack of ragdols and vehicals didnt fall apart when damaged.
The combined price for Arma2, OA & Dayz Mod is 24.99. If I just purchase DayZ standalone, it says it costs 29.99. My question is this: Isn't the DayZ mod and Standalone the same game, essentially? I can save 5 dollars, and get all 3 games for 25 bucks. If not, what are the differences between the official DayZ mod and the standalone product?
Warhammer dark crusade mods. Originally posted by:Arma 2 DayZ Epoch.if your including the addition Epoch Mod. Blows Standalone away. Mainly because of the basebuilding and array of vehicles to choose from including military vehicles like tanks and such.
Can't wait until someone Mods Standalone for these reasons. You that isn't DayZ. (Just becasue of the name)I would have to say the stansalone. The original Arma 2 DayZ Mod and Standalone game isn't a fair comparison either since Standalone has had additions added to it like vehicles when DayZ Mod orginally never had.

WIKI.is destined to sometimes go off the rails. I loved DayZ from the beginning of the mod, The mod was pretty good it started to get stale due to devs working on things slowly.
Eventually Mods started popping up, DayZ + and a few others then Epoch Breaking point Overwatch Aftermath and so on. I felt DayZ Mod was the best game I had ever played, You know nostalgia. When Standalone came out, It was alright but slowly I felt it was losing what made DayZ a great game. I realize you wanted to make Standalone a survival simulator but It seems to have taken a lot out what I loved from the Mod. So far I haven't been able to get that feeling back except from a mod recently called Desolation for Arma 3. However How do you feel about DayZ Standalone vs DayZ Mod and if you have played Desolation what are your thoughts about it?TLDR: Do you think DayZ Standalone is holding what made DayZ Mod special?. Logged many hours on the mod, bought into the standalone on the first week of it's release.
Recently tried going back to the mod but just can't get back into it after playing the standalone.Several factors influenced this. Enterable buildings effectively tripling the map size probably being the most notable.

The standalone has its ups and downs, but if you're looking at the long game, I think it will be the richer experience in the end.I still try out some of the more popular Arma2 mods but keep getting drawn back to the standalone. Once zombies make their proper return and some of the features still in development get merged in, I think it'll turn into the game that we all want it to be. If not, it'll be able to be modded anyway closer to release and you'll have access to a wider range of features that they're implementing now.
Personally, i love the mod, but admins on there have too much power - and killed it with their admin abuse.Which is why SA gives little to no power to admins, so it doesnt become a repeat of the mod.I personally enjoy the SA because of the hostage taking aspect, or the feeling of finding a gun, ammo, but no mag and coming across another player.Although i find SA to be too much coastal PVP for my liking at the moment, because about 80% of its population doesnt leave the coast, and the other 20% is at military bases. But i have hopes for it in the future.
