This has only happened to me in this one conversation as far as I can tell, but in the conversation with the guy after getting your augments turned back on (and him finding the hidden augs) at the beginning of the game, some dialogue is being skipped when I press space. For example, one time he says 'I've heard of people getting the black market treatment', and when I press space it skips over the next line 'but that's usually people waking up with less augs not more' instead of skipping to it.

Has anyone had this happen?. When I was playing on the PS4, I noticed that skipping dialogue generally tends to skip until the other person talks. For example, Adam talks to NPC, Adam initiates conversation with 1 line, NPC responds with 2 lines, Adam ends the conversation with 1 line. If I skip when the NPC starts talking, it'll skip over their 2 lines and move back to Adam's closing comment. However, I believe it depends on how the dialogue is structured within the conversation. If we use the above example again, I've learned that if those 2 lines are split into two parts, skipping conversation often jumps them to their second line.

For clarity, I'd suggest turning on subtitles (which for me was needed, since the audio mix in cut-scenes and some other situations rendered the conversation damn near inaudible to me) and you'll be able to see how the dialogue is structured. An NPC can have two lines that are one single spoken audio file, or it can be broken into two smaller parts, subtitles will help you see how it's set up. It's not something I did often (skipping dialogue) but that was my observations when doing so. Oh, so you're saying that even though it was split into two parts, it would still skip them both?

I guess that throws my theory out, but again, it was just my personal observation with the few NPC I did skip dialogue on, which were NPC's I had previously interacted with but were repeating the same dialogue (as is the case with certain side mission NPC's.). Dialogue is important in games like this and there is no in-game way to replay or read any of the previous dialogue that has been spoken. Usually after a scene, they'll give you a brief recap of the important parts but I would say proceed with caution when choosing to skip dialogue.
