Total War Warhammer Settlements Map
I imagine that the artist labor needed for new map models and new seige maps was simply too great for having unique faction looks for every city in the game. It's an unfortunate side effect of now being allowed to colonize everywhere. I too liked that the cities changed their look in the first game, even as I prefer the much more detailed city models on the second game's campaign map. It's possible that the battle maps might be able to be changed out, but I don't know if the possibility exists to change the campaign map models of the cities.
