How Long Before Charter Disconnects
Anyone want to share some horror stories about Charter Cable? Here’s a new one. Charter sent out their statements late again this month, and apparently there’s been an unannounced change in their own past billing practice.

Forum discussion: Charter's own terms state the following:quote:f. Undisputed amounts not paid within 30 days of the invoice date shall be past due and subject to a late fee of not more. Such security deposits will be returned to Subscriber within sixty (60) days of termination of Charter’s Service so long as payment has been made for all amounts due on Subscriber's account and Subscriber has returned the Charter Equipment undamaged.
Here’s one for the books! I always pay my Charter bill late. It’s not because of me not having the money to pay the bill, but I honestly always forget to pay my bill. In the recent months, Charter has not disconnected my services for lack of payment yet, but they are quick to place a freeze on my account.

To me this is the same difference but without the added disconnection fees. When I call to pay my bill, I don’t get charged for using the automated phone system. If the automated phone system connects me with a live person, it’s different story. The problem I have with Charter is, Discrimination Against People with Children in a Home. When I have no internet access, I realize, it’s time to pay my bill. I am penalized for having children at home (age three and under). Any background noise, yelling, fighting will prompt Charter’s automated system to transfer my call to a live representative and incur the five dollar service fee.
HEY CHARTER, here’s a newsflash for you! My children don’t have an off button, upgrade your phone system! Or simply explain to me how to make a two and three year old stay quiet for three to five minutes?P.S. Try not telling a mother of three to go in a quiet room because there are no quiet rooms when you have three children! Charter is horrible. Disable ctrl key windows 10 activation.
I make payments through their online electronic payment system. Back in April I received a bill that stated it was PAST due and it was actually last month’s charges and the current month’s charges with a 8.95 late fee. I had paid it. Spoke with a representative who’s reasoning was that my card must have been declined and I would need to speak to my bank. My card works just fine for any other payment I make online.

They waived the fee. This just happened to me again today and charter refuses to waive the fee as they can only do it “one time”. How am I responsible for late fees when to my knowledge my bill was all set and paid, I never received notification that it didn’t process after submitting it to them, I even received the thank you for your payment email. Completely horrible lack of ability for agents to make things right with the customer as they have told me there is nothing they can do.

IMO That's the worst you could do. Are you in a legacy TWC Market? If so, you should sign up at the TWC/Spectrum Community Forums. Than PM one of the Mods over there. Describe why payment is going to be late and see what they can do to help. Here is that forum:»You login using your 'My Account' information. If you are legacy Charter, or legacy Bright House Networks, this forum won't work.
You could also send a Tweet to Spectrum by logging in or signing up for Twitter. Than follow the @Ask Spectrum account. Send a Direct Message to them, and if you can describe why payment is late, they might be able to put an extension on the account for a Do Not Disconnect.I would use these methods before calling. If you talk to them before payment is due with a reason why payment is late, it is less likely that you will be reported as delinquent. My recommended choices:1.) Register and PM a Spectrum Mod if you are legacy TWC at the forum2.) Register and Tweet a PM via Twitter3.) Calling. If you don't mind sharing here, what is the reason for the late payment?Satch.
Call them and ask to make a payment arrangement and give them the date you can pay. Normally as long as your 3rd bill isn't about to drop they'll give you a few days.
For example my cycle ends on the 28th of the month so if I'm past due and the next bill cut they'll normally give me until the 27th of that 3rd month to pay but I have to call them and let them know when I'm paying. If you don't call and they shut you off, even a soft disconnect, they'll make you pay the past due balance PLUS that current bill before they reconnect your services. That happened to me last Summer while on vacation. I forgot to call them while we were out of town and when we arrived back home all of our services were off and I had to pay both my past due and that months bill to get services reconnected again.
