Around you are loads of smaller countries that you can conquer or get as vassals even as an OPM. The provinces around you have good value, which means even though its slow to conquer in the HRE you get much value for doing it.Later on you also have the benefit of being germanic culture which probably the best in the game and the fact that all three endnodes arent too far away.The major downside to being ulm is probably that you dont have any unique ideas, however the germanic culture ones are pretty helpful. The mercenary maintenance reduction specially helps early on as a OPM. I personally think that a medium to small power in the HRE is the most fun. Brandenburg, bavaria, bohemia, saxony or whatever.The most fun I had doing an achievment was meissner porcelain.
Your objective is to control all the chinaware provinces in the world (excluding not colonised provinces that might produce them in the future). You start out in the middle of the HRE and have to fight your way out, you then have to go to asia by your colonies and get loads of diffrent provinces. Including several in china itself and japan. Very varied and fun. Well anything really, I did a bit of everything, formed 4 colonial nations, ended up in coalition wars with the Ottomans and ended up with my own version of the maginot line to keep giant Russia with his 500k manpower pool at bay. War was still raging when the playthrough ended with Russia having lost 1.1 million men to my 390k.Top tip, take eveything in the Malacan trade node asap and designate it as your own personal end node.
